The company is owned and run by Annalize Wright of Lichfield, Staffordshire. Anna studied Arboriculture at both Moreton Morrell and Merrist Wood Colleges to qualify as a tree surgeon and has since worked in Arboriculture for over ten years as a practicing tree surgeon. Having worked for a number of select AA approved contractors throughout the UK Anna gained much valuable knowledge and experience inside the industry, working in both a residential and commercial environment. Anna has a passion for trees, the environment and for high quality tree services, so in 2011 Anna decided to establish ACW Arb (Annalize Cressida Wright Arboriculture), although a newly established company ACW Arb is dedicated to giving a friendly, reliable and professional service. Anna furthered her career in 2012 by achieving the Arboriculture Associations Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture ‘Tech Cert’ with further academic advancements planned for 2014. ACW Arb has developed a strong and loyal customer base over the past three years and looks forward to welcoming new customers in 2014.
All work to BS3998 As in any profession there are guidelines and standards to adhere to in order to achieve the highest possible results in whatever you do. Tree surgery is no different and the British standard BS3998 recommendation is in place to which all professional Tree Surgeons, including the team here at ACW Arb, should conform to.
The National Proficiency Tests Council issues certificates of competency in a range of practical skills, attesting the holders ability to carry out tasks in a safe and proficient fashion. Most important of these to the arborist or tree surgeon are certificates of competence in the use of chainsaws. You should not employ anyone using a chainsaw who does not hold the relevant NPTC certificate. Other areas tested by the NPTC include tree climbing, aerial rescue and the use of chippers and stump grinders.
Trustworthy, Professional, Knowledgeable... ACW Arb are trustworthy, professional and very knowledgeable when it comes to all things trees. Anna has studied and practiced the practical side of tree surgery whilst in industry, and academically, and has invested a lot of time understanding the theoretical side to tree surgery in order to bring you, her customers the very best possible service.
AA Tech Cert The Arboricultural Association Technician's Certificate (now administered by ABC Awards) is an intermediate level qualification aimed at supervisors, tree inspectors and technicians. It demonstrates significant technical knowledge and understanding. The AA Tech Cert was equivalent to a QCF level 4 qualification. It is being replaced by the QCF Level 4 Certificate and Diploma.
